Nitoru 0.2.2

Release dateSeptember 9, 2026Latest

Keep your changes moving, connect devices with clearer guidance, and open a lighter interface. This update also includes the light-theme, Discipline, and weather improvements from 0.2.1.

Nitoru 0.2.2 is now available in Microsoft Store. Availability can vary by device or region.

01

Sync that keeps moving

Fixes a startup issue that could leave Wallet, Calendar, Goals, and Discipline changes waiting while Sync now appeared to do nothing. All five sections join the shared sync engine.

02

A clearer connection

Review compatible Android approval requests on desktop, see clearer setup progress, and get better guidance when your Google account already has an encrypted Vault.

03

A lighter workspace

Pages now load as you open them, reducing the code needed at first launch. If a page cannot load, get a clear way to retry without losing the rest of the interface.

Complete changelog

Everything included in 0.2.2

Synchronization fixes

  • Register Journal, Wallet, Calendar, Goals, and Discipline together so startup order cannot silently leave sections out of synchronization.
  • Process queued changes from all five sections instead of leaving a waiting counter that Sync now cannot clear.
  • Keep short connection retries in a finishing-setup state after Google reconnects. Genuine account errors and prolonged connection failures remain visible.
  • Fix a handoff that could leave a verified device finishing secure sync setup indefinitely.

Device approval and recovery

  • Accept valid approval requests from compatible Android builds even when Windows and Android compress the same request differently.
  • Keep checks for signatures, expiry, account identity, and altered requests in place; compatibility does not bypass trusted-device approval.
  • Offer clearer choices when an existing cloud Vault is found: use your recovery key or ask an already trusted device to approve this installation.
  • Keep recovery available while waiting for a device that may be offline or lost.
  • Explain that revoking Google permission does not delete your Vault or generate a new recovery key. Reconnecting resumes the existing Vault.
  • Improve handling of cancellation, interrupted setup, and stale responses so old actions cannot overwrite a newer setup state.
  • Cloud Vault replacement still depends on a separately enabled service capability; publishing these notes does not make Start fresh generally available.

Interface and safeguards

  • Load section-specific interface code only when needed, while keeping device approval, recovery, and tour listeners active.
  • Check protected-section access before displaying a page, including pages that load on demand.
  • Keep page-loading errors within the affected section and ask for confirmation before a reload that could discard unsaved edits.
  • Update build and test dependencies with available security fixes.
  • Add regression coverage for all five synchronization sections, device approval, reconnection, recovery, and page navigation.

Also includes the 0.2.1 improvements

  • A refreshed light theme with clearer text, controls, borders, and Dashboard artwork.
  • Discipline Rule creation with corrected scrolling, clearer validation, and overview cards that adapt to smaller spaces.
  • A weather city picker with region and country details, plus a saved location that survives application restarts.
